S1E5: “And You Wonder, What If?” Featuring Jenn Colella.
Welcome back to another episode of Stage Door Medium! This week, Jimmy is joined by kindness practitioner and Tony award nominee, Jenn Colella. You may know Jenn best for her performances as Captain Beverley Bass in Come From Away, Anne in If/Then, and Hedda Hopper in Chaplin (She sings one of my favorite belt songs in that show!). She also can be seen leaving the Stage Door via scooter, so there’s another reason to love this magical human.
This week, Jenn and I sit down to talk about her time in Come From Away, her friendship with the real-life Captain, Beverley Bass, and sensing energy in an audition room before you book a job.
We’ll also sit down to discuss the plot of If/Then and Jimmy breaks down the free-will factor in our personal life versus what we map out for ourselves before we get here. As usual we’ll discuss Jenn’s reading, how to raise our vibration before we perform/do a reading, and who Jenn’s top Broadway legend picks would be to play Beverley in Come From Away (Betty Buckley is my top choice!)
