My name is Jimmy and I’ve been a practicing Medium for just about ten years now.
While I wish I could tell you those stories about being a child and seeing “dead people” since I was two years old, or predict the winning lottery numbers, that’s not my story to tell. I think deep down I always knew I had an ability to do this, but I had always chalked it up to coincidence, or anxiety when I was receiving messages from Spirit. I’d know the details about someone’s passing and their name and think, “Lucky guess.” It wasn’t until college that I was told by three different mediums (Big validation always works in threes!) that I had the ability and needed to use my gift to help others. I was fortunate enough to train with some incredible Mediums at Lilydale, and I’ve been reading ever since.
One of the questions I’m often asked is why I call myself the Stage Door Medium. All my life, I’ve been a fan of theatre and grateful for the experience it provides us and what we can learn from the arts. As a teen, I’d go to the Stage Door and patiently wait for the chance to meet some of the performers from the show hoping for an autograph or a picture. Any theatre die-hard will tell you, those moments stick with you for life! For most of my time as a Medium, I’ve been able to read for many members of the Broadway community, and when we connect, that awkward teenager still comes out after our reading, feeling so grateful we were able to spend a moment together and connect. So in short, the title is an homage both to what I do, but also a tip of the hat to the experience of being able to meet and connect with some of the kindest, gracious, and hardest-working folks I know.
It is an understatement to say that I love what I do. To be able to bring forward your highest and best loved ones, and to relay their messages of hope and joy is one of the biggest blessings in my life, and I am a firm believer that these messages can help us find comfort, reassurance, and strength when we need it most.
